26 July 12 17:10–The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 1.27% to 1,093.09 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 1.13% to 988.16 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 2.49% to 350.74 points. Turnover was NIS 1.66 billion.
The TASE again rose strongly across the board day, after seesawing during the session, in line with gains on European markets and at the opening on Wall Street. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose another 1.3% for the week, after rising 1.1% last week. Tel Aviv 25 options for July expired today with a gain of 0.3%.
In the bond market, long-term Shahar unlinked government bonds rose by up to 0.1% and long-term Galil CPI-linked bonds rose by up to 0.6%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 0.31%.
In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 4.079$, up 0.42% on yesterday’s rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.93/€, up 1.02%.
