Globes: Thu: Tel Aviv 25 down 1.6% on week
12 July 12 17:14–The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.73% to 1,067.22 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.62% to 972.83 points, and the TechBlue 50 Index fell 1.68% to 324.48 points. Turnover was NIS 761.1 million.
The TASE fell again today, in line with losses in European markets and at the opening on Wall Street. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 1.6% for the week, after rising 2.4% last week.
In the bond market, long-term Shahar bonds rose by up to 0.1% and long-term Galil CPI-linked bonds ranged between losses of 0.2% and gains of 0.3%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.11%.
In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.978/$, up 0.38% on yesterday’s representative rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.853/€, down 0.12%.
In the stock market, Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:MLNX; TASE:MLNX) and EZchip Semiconductor Ltd. (Nasdaq: EZCH; TASE:EZCH) were again the biggest losers among Tel Aviv 25 shares, falling 5.2% and 4.3%, respectively, while NICE Systems Ltd.
