Globes: Thu: Tel Aviv 25 down 2.9% on week
24 May 12 17:14–The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.55% to 1,050.92 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.56% to 970.91 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 1.23% to 334.36 points. Turnover was NIS 2.23 billion.
The TASE snapped its losing streak today with gains by leading indices, after seesawing during the session. Markets rose in Europe and at the opening on Wall Street. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 2.9% for the week, following last week’s drop of 4.7%. The Telecommunications Index stood out with a 10% fall for the week.
The TASE will reopen on Monday, after the Shavuot holiday.
Tel Aviv 25 options for May expired today with a gain of 0.3%.
In the bond market, long-term Shahar and long-term Galil CPI-linked bonds rose slightly. The benchmark corporate bond Tel-Bond 60 Index rose 0.13%.
In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.847/$, down 0.31% on yesterday’s rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.836/€, down 0.87%…Read More>>
